Shout Out

Boise Public Library
The librarians at the local library (Hillcrest), have welcomed me with much warmth. These wonderful people took an immediate action for the 'Hand in Hand' program. The following took place: August of 2008 was a display of hats and scarves for the community. The use of the Camas conference room. And speaking at "Senior Share" on September 9, 2008 to spread awareness and participation.

Thank you all for your help. I look forward in working with a magnificant group of people.

ADHD Knitting Group
Have you ever met someone and there is an instant liking? This happened to me by joining Gail's group, ADHD Knitting Group.

Time went by and we're chatting away about her group and mine. After she learned what my group was about Gail joined right away. Gail's big heart had an immediate shipment of yarn and scarves sent to me. Through her kindness numerous children in the "Treasure Valley" will be warm this winter. Also, the yarn was shared with another local knitting group who are making items for children in Africa.

Gail, you're one in a million -- thank you.

Technical Marketing Associates (TMA)
Staring at the label on the box had me process the path that occurred for this arrival. Several months back I sent an email to TMA at their headquarters in Portuguel. This went to the Los Angeles, CA office then to Idaho.

Inside the box were a lot of baby pinks, blues and white yarn. The generosity of TMA have helped many newborns and children in the State of Idaho and Peru.

TMA, thank you for the yarn.

Coats & Clark; Red Heart Yarn
Bing bong goes the doorbell. The guard dog of five pounds is on full alert.

The delivery truck is pulling away while I wrestle to get the large box inside the house. Through much effort on my part there is success. I'm in awe of all the wonderful colors that are staring up at me. The yarn has helped children in California, Idaho, Michigan and Peru.

There were many size H hooks in the box also. They are almost gone by giving them to others. One of my favorite things to see is the light in their eyes when I tell them the hook and yarn is theirs. This has helped some young women to learn a new talent and keep their baby warm.

Red Heart, thank you for your help.

Caron International
During the warmer months I place my exercise bike out on the back patio. The warm air on my body while I was peddling is a great way for me to work out all the joys of life. This particular morning was no different except for the handsome man carrying this large box to me. He set it down in front of the back door.

Through my excitement I tore open the large box. Out popped yellow yarn and grey -- lots of it. We appreciate the wonderful folks at Caron for helping the children in Peru and throughout the United States.

Caron, thank you in aiding this program.

Clover
Came home to find an odd shaped box with my name on it. Looked at the label - Clover. Inside were bamboo knitting needles and circular knitting needles. Have passed these on to other knitters who are enjoying the knitting needles.

Clover, thank you for the bamboo knitting needles.
